Air quality is essential for healthy interaction with the environment and for the human body. A good air quality has several benefits, among them: it improves the skin, we concentrate much better, favors deep sleep, makes toxins disappear from our organism, etc. During my work and educational experience I have realized how this journey has helped me to raise awareness on issues that are important for the environment and human health.
According to an article published by the UN, by 2022, 99% of the population will be breathing polluted air and an estimated 7 million deaths per year. These data are disturbing and give us a very clear understanding that carbon emissions are affecting our planet and the air we breathe. These emissions typically come from fossil fuels such as burning coal, oil or natural gas. According to the UN, it is estimated that a vehicle produces around 590 kg of carbon dioxide every 5,000 km.
The educational theme has allowed me to look at air quality from several different angles where I see it all from a more informative theme:
–Scientific: Where subjects such as chemistry and physics allowed me to see what and how are the main causes of air pollution, this field has helped me to identify the relationship between human activities and air quality.
-Impacton health: It allowed me to know and be aware of how air pollution can have effects on human health such as respiratory problems, vascular and even chronic diseases.
-Sustainabilityand climate change: This topic is essential for understanding environmental issues, such as climate change. Air quality is linked to greenhouse gas emissions, along with other pollutants that contribute to global warming.
On the other hand, the labor issue has allowed me to look at air quality from several angles where I see everything from a more realistic and practical perspective.
In my case, DAIKIN has given me the opportunity to be aware of the air we breathe and the importance it has on humans and the environment. In the same way, it has helped me to have a continuous education on this subject, in which I have become more and more inculcated about air quality in political, social, economic, financial, geographic, etc. issues.
Undoubtedly it can be observed that the educational and labor issue gives us two different perspectives on knowledge, in which in my experience not only the theoretical and scientific has been seen, but also the practical where the topic of conversation is the day to day. I definitely believe that this is an issue that we need to be much more aware of, as it is a determinant that affects both our health and the environment.
Air community is the opportunity for people to address controversial air quality issues. It is the experience that connects the entrepreneurship and innovation community in the air. It allows organizations, companies, academia, students and professors to come together as a community that allows the exchange of ideas, value connections and project developments where the main objective is to use innovation in the HVAC (Heating, ventilation and air conditioning) industry.
Being part of Air Community has allowed me to see beyond the trends, issues and solutions for air quality, where I can interact with different personalities that will allow me to create valuable connections and seek solutions to raise awareness of how air quality can affect human beings and our environment.
